We visited this place for 3-4times. And tried different dishes. The restaurant is ran by Korean. It is authentic Korean cuisine. The atmosphere is chill and cozy. Our favorite food is the spicy chicken feet pot and the beef rib soup.
The panchanνμ°¬there are also nice and the waiter and waitress are responsive. Just that sometime they get really busy.
It would be really lovely to go there for a sip of the hot soup on a rainy and cold morning.
Really like this place a lot.
Tried a new Korean restaurant! Food was overall average, though I really liked the pancake (highlight of the meal).

overall a popular place with good options of home cooking style Korean food, better to have more than 3people sharing , portion is big for 2 person, you may only get a chance to try 1 or 2 type of food. The pork and chicken dishes are big portion. Chicken feet comes with steam egg and rice balls, itβs a good combination and good to share.
Came at around 630pm on a Friday evening, it started to get very busy from 7pm.
Came here on a Wednesday night at 7 p.m., and no reservations were needed. I have walked past this restaurant a few times, but I was more familiar with their nostalgic cultural Korean decorations. They moved recently to a new area along the same stretch, and it's so minimalistic now... A lot more space is catered for diners, with rooms for big groups. Side dishes was pretty okay only. Toilet is huge too!

We ordered:
π Jjimdak ($55)
Braised chicken in dark sauce, this dish is one of my favourites in korea. And this standard is pretty okay! Huge portion that feeds at least 4 people. Chicken could have been braised longer to have more flavour. The japchae noodles at the bottom soak up a lot of sauce, so it's quite filling, along with potatoes and carrots.
I rate: 3.5/5 π
π Minari Jun ($28)
1st time trying Minari, and we were surprised how fresh this vegetable pancake tasted. It didn't have a celery scent and tasted rather clean. Quite flat as well. Would like it if it's bigger.
I rate: 4.5/5 π
πΆ Pine Nut Draught Wine ($28)
The way it's served is pretty interesting! In a small vat with a wooden scoop into a shallow bowl. It was a little gassy and had a faint, nutty sweet aftertaste.
I rate: 4/5 π
authentic Korean food, our go-to order is Arny Stew and pancakes. They serve Makgeolli in a shallow bowl, which was quite interesting to watch. Portions are generous, and their side dishes are yummy. Recommend making a reservation on weekends.
This place serves very authentic Korean food. Although traditional bbq was available, no one was having that as the standout are the Korean cooked dishes. It's quite close to the Korean food I had in Korea last year. The standout is the braised short ribs. It's so tender and meat falls off the bone easily. Pair the rice with the braised sauce and it's heavenly. The radishes and carrots were so yummy too. 2nd best was the assorted pancakes. It was like no other I had tried before. There were fish, mushroom, prawns and it's so all very special. It really fills you up too. The place was not very closely packed where you're sitting shoulder to shoulder and tables well spaced apart, unlike some other Korean restaurants here. The restroom are also very clean.
I had an exceptional dining experience at Todamgol Restaurant in Tanjong Pagar. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, setting a positive tone for the evening. The extensive menu offered a variety of Korean dishes, and we opted for the kimchi jeongol, cold noodle, janchi kooksu, and Korean pancake.
The kimchi jeongol was a flavorful and spicy delight, packed with tender meats and fresh vegetables. The cold noodle was a refreshing choice, perfect for Singapore's tropical climate. Janchi kooksu, a traditional Korean feast noodle dish, was bursting with rich, savory flavors. The Korean pancake was crispy on the outside and filled with delicious ingredients, making it a delightful appetizer.
The restaurant's ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a touch of Korean decor that added to the overall experience. The staff was attentive and helpful, guiding us through the menu and ensuring our dining needs were met.
Todamgol is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine in Tanjong Pagar. The combination of delectable food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a top-notch choice for Korean food enthusiasts like myself. I will definitely be returning for more culinary adventures at Todamgol.
Went for an early dinner and was given a spacious seat for our family of 4. Ordered the barbecued pork belly and beef. They will actually sliced the meat and barbecue the meat for you so that you donβt have to actually do it yourself. Ordered the beef bulgogi for the kids and the kids loved it. Not too many of non spicy options for kids though. Kimchi pancake tasted great while the cold noodles were quite soggy. Overall prices are on the higher side, especially the barbecued meats. Service can be improved, cos we waited quite long for the rice to be ready and there wasnβt anyone to inform us that we have to wait for the rice.
